Erasmus trip to Catalonia
The ISS Sindelfingen Campus is leading a European Council-funded, Erasmus+ project, involving partner schools from Narva in Estonia, Amsterdam in the Netherlands and Coma-Ruga in Catalonia. This week, eight of the 5th graders are visiting the school in Spain. The project focuses on exploring local cultural traditions through dual-language team-teaching. In Catalonia the students took part in the St. Jordi celebrations where people made human towers, they learned local dances, and pressed grapes with their feet. The Mediterranean was warm enough to swim in too! More importantly, they established new friendships and are looking forward to the next trip to Amsterdam in the Autumn and to hosting their partners in May 2018. Check out the photos, one of which is of the students pressing grapes with their feet!
